Description:
High temperature resistant filter cartridges are mainly used for filtration under working conditions featuring high-power welding, thick plate cutting and welding fume with high residual temperature.
Manufactured from temperature-resistant base materials, high temperature resistant filter cartridges fall into the following main types:
PTFE Membrane + High-temperature Polyester Fiber: Continuous operating temperature ≤120℃, instantaneous peak ≤150℃
Aramid Fiber (Nomex): Continuous operating temperature ≤200℃, instantaneous peak ≤220℃, excellent folding resistance
Fiberglass Filter Media: Continuous operating temperature ≤260℃, instantaneous peak ≤300℃, outstanding acid & alkali resistance
Widely applied in high-temperature industrial fume control including high-power laser cutting, plasma cutting, casting and smelting.
Core Technical Advantages:
Multi-grade temperature resistance options for precise working condition matching: Graded high-temperature solutions available to meet diverse operating demands:
Standard Temperature-resistant Type: Continuous 120℃, instantaneous 150℃ (PTFE membrane polyester)
Medium-temperature Type: Continuous 150–200℃, instantaneous 220℃ (Aramid / PTFE composite)
High-temperature Type: Continuous 200–260℃, instantaneous 300℃ (Fiberglass)
Stable structure under high temperature: Adopts high-temperature resistant adhesive and sealant to ensure firm bonding between end caps and filter media without debonding in hot environments. Metal support frames and end caps are made of galvanized or stainless steel to prevent high-temperature oxidation and corrosion.
High filtration efficiency with no attenuation at high temperatures: PTFE membrane maintains intact micropore structure under high heat, delivering ≥99.9% filtration efficiency for particles of 0.3–5μm. Fiberglass deep-bed filter media boasts superior high-temperature tolerance.
High-strength impact-resistant structure: Built-in heavy-duty perforated steel support frame with high compressive strength to withstand thermal expansion and contraction stress under high temperatures. Optimized pleat design and spacing reduce concentrated thermal stress.
Working Condition Matching Table:
| Welding / Cutting Process | Fume Temperature | Recommended Material | Temperature Resistance | Special Requirements |

| Thick Plate Plasma Cutting | 100–180℃ | Aramid + PTFE | 220℃ | Thermal Shock Resistance |
| Automatic Submerged Arc Welding | 80–120℃ | PTFE Membrane Polyester | 150℃ | High Airflow |
| Casting / Smelting Flue Gas | 150–250℃ | Fiberglass | 260℃ | Acid & Alkali Resistance |
| Electric Furnace Flue Gas | 120–200℃ | Fiberglass / Aramid | 260℃ | High Temperature + Anti-static |
| Heat Treatment Furnace Flue Gas | 180–250℃ | Fiberglass | 300℃ | High Temperature + Corrosion Resistance |
Application Fields:
Fume treatment for high-power laser cutting (6kW and above)
Fume purification for thick plate plasma cutting
Dust removal for automatic submerged arc welding production lines
Flue gas dust removal for casting workshops
Flue gas treatment for heat treatment workshops
Integrated laser cutting & annealing production lines

Case & Data Verification:
Custom high temperature resistant filter cartridges with aramid felt + PTFE membrane were supplied for plasma cutting fume treatment at a heavy machinery plant. The products effectively solved media shrinkage and end cap debonding issues under 150℃ fume conditions, maintaining stable emission concentrations below 5mg/m³.
FAQ:
Q1: How to confirm whether high temperature resistant filter cartridges are required for working conditions?
A: Measure fume temperature at dust collector inlet:
Below 80℃: Standard polyester filter cartridges suffice
80–120℃: Standard temperature-resistant type (PTFE membrane polyester)
120–200℃: High temperature resistant cartridges mandatory (Aramid / Fiberglass)
Above 200℃: Flue gas cooling equipment or ceramic fiber filter media is required
Q2: How to choose between aramid and fiberglass?
A: Aramid (Nomex) withstands up to 200℃ with superior folding resistance, suitable for pulse cleaning yet mediocre resistance to acid gases. Fiberglass tolerates 260–300℃ and features excellent acid & alkali resistance but poor folding resistance; pulse cleaning parameters need careful design. Aramid with PTFE membrane is recommended for welding fume.
Q3: Do high temperature resistant filter cartridges require special cleaning parameters?
A: Yes. Fiberglass media has weak folding resistance. Pulse cleaning guidelines: Avoid excessive pulse pressure (0.4–0.5MPa recommended), shorten pulse width appropriately, and set cleaning frequency based on pressure differential to prevent media fatigue from over-cleaning.
