Description:
Primary efficiency filters for cleanrooms act as pre-filters at the front end of cleanroom air conditioning systems and are designed in accordance with GB/T 14295-2019 standard. They mainly capture dust particles ≥2.0 μm suspended in the air. Used for front-end protection of ISO Class 8 (Class 100,000) cleanrooms, they are essential basic purification components for cleanroom environments in pharmaceutical, electronic, medical, food, laboratory and other industries.
Classified by material and structure, primary efficiency filter products include metal mesh panel filters, rib-reinforced panel filters, paper frame panel filters, mesh-covered aluminum frame panel filters and bag filters.
Core Technical Advantages:
Low pressure drop design: The initial resistance of G4 grade primary filters is ≤50Pa, 15% lower than the industry average, which greatly reduces fan power consumption.
Flame-retardant filter media: Filter materials meet GB 8624-2012 Class B2 flame retardant standard, suitable for high-safety areas such as operating rooms and laboratories.
Optional structures: Two types including panel and bag filters are available to fit different installation spaces.
Working Condition Matching Table:
| Application Site | Cleanliness Class | Recommended Model | Key Requirements |
| Hospital Clean Operating Department | ISO Class 7–8 | G4 Bag Primary Filter | Antibacterial media, Class B2 flame retardant |
| Pharmaceutical Workshop (GMP) | Grade C/D | G4 Panel Filter | Fiber-free shedding, easy to clean |
| Electronics Factory (e.g. Semiconductor) | ISO Class 6–8 | G3/G4 | Low particle emission, chemical resistance |
| Food / Cosmetic Cleanroom | ISO Class 8 | G4 | NSF certified |
| Fresh Air Section of Central Air Conditioning | General Ventilation | G3 | Cost-effective |

Case & Data Verification:
An electronic materials factory in Chongqing (Class 10,000 clean workshop) adopted panel-type G4 primary filters. Under the working condition with dust concentration of 0.5mg/m³, the final resistance reached 130Pa after 6 months of operation, the dust holding capacity was about 380g, and the filtration efficiency attenuation was ≤5%.
FAQ:
Q1: What are the differences between G3 and G4 primary filters?
A: G4 grade delivers higher filtration efficiency (≥90% for 2μm particles) than G3 (≥50%), with slightly higher initial resistance (≤50Pa vs ≤40Pa). G4 is applied to cleanroom pre-filtration, while G3 is suitable for general ventilation systems.
Q2: How to choose between panel and bag primary filters?
A: Panel filters fit horizontally installed spaces with limited height (thickness: 21–46mm); bag filters feature larger filtration area and higher dust holding capacity, suitable for environments with high dust concentration.
Q3: What is the replacement cycle of primary filters?
A: Replace filters when the resistance rises to 2–2.5 times the initial resistance (normally around 150Pa). In cleanroom environments, G4 filters are recommended to be replaced every 3–6 months. Immediate replacement is required if dust penetration is detected on the air outlet side.
