Flanged Antistatic Filter Cartridge

Filter Manufacturer Safe & Reliable Long Lasting & Stable Customizable
Flanged antistatic filter cartridges are equipped with flanged plates on end caps. They are pressed against the flange face of the equipment filter chamber via bolts or clamps, with sealing gaskets sandwiched in between to form airtight connections. Featuring excellent sealing stability, this interface type suits large-size, high-air-pressure filtration systems, and is widely applied to mid-generation SLM 280, custom large-format equipment and centralized exhaust systems.

Description:
Flanged antistatic filter cartridges are fitted with flanged plates on end caps. They are clamped against the flange face of the equipment filter chamber by bolts or clamps, with sealing gaskets sandwiched in between to form airtight connections. Boasting superior sealing reliability, this interface type is suitable for large-size and high-air-pressure filtration systems, widely used for mid-generation SLM 280, custom large-format equipment and centralized exhaust systems.

The filter media receives antistatic treatment with surface resistance ≤10⁹Ω. Complying with EN 1822 standard, it covers F9–H14 filtration grades and achieves ≥99.95% capture efficiency for 0.3μm particles with initial resistance ≤250Pa. Flat gaskets or O-ring grooves are available for flange sealing to match different equipment design requirements.

Core Technical Advantages:

Reliable sealing via flange connection: Bolts or clamps compress the gasket between flange faces to form full-surface sealing. The large sealing area and even clamping force minimize leakage risks, making it ideal for high-vacuum or high differential pressure systems.

Multi-layer antistatic media protection: The media undergoes integrated flame-retardant and antistatic composite treatment with dual safeguards of embedded conductive fiber mesh and PTFE membrane lamination. Surface resistance is stably maintained within the safe range of 10⁶–10⁹Ω.

Outer stainless steel mesh protective layer: An external stainless steel mesh rapidly dissipates accumulated static electricity to prevent spontaneous combustion caused by static buildup during filter replacement. It also shields the filter media and enhances cartridge rigidity and service life.

Optional high-temperature & corrosion-resistant configuration: An all-stainless steel structure lined with PTFE membrane is optional, applicable to high-temperature processes such as EBM and corrosive gas environments.

Application Fields:

Metal 3D Printing Equipment

EBM Electron Beam Melting Equipment

Central Dust Extraction Units for Printing Workshops

Applicable Materials:

Titanium Alloys, Nickel-Based Alloys

Aluminum Alloys, Stainless Steel

Case: Application of Flanged Filter Cartridges on Mid-Generation SLM 280 in a Manufacturing Enterprise

A manufacturing enterprise’s mid-generation SLM 280 equipment adopts flanged interfaces. The original imported filters feature long procurement lead times. After switching to domestic substitute flanged H13 antistatic filter cartridges, the flatness of flange sealing faces passed inspection, and zero leakage was detected via PAO leak test after installation. The filter remained intact after 2000 hours of continuous operation, and printed parts met quality standards.

FAQ

Q1: How to select sealing gaskets for flanged filter cartridges?
A: Nitrile rubber or silicone flat gaskets are recommended for normal-temperature working conditions; fluoroelastomer or graphite composite gaskets are required for high-temperature environments (>100°C); O-ring sealing structures are preferred for vacuum systems.

Q2: Are there specified tightening torques for flange bolts?
A: Yes. Tighten bolts diagonally and evenly to the torque value specified in the equipment manual to avoid damaged gaskets or deformed flanges caused by uneven clamping. A torque wrench is generally recommended for operation.

Q3: What differential pressure can this filter cartridge withstand?
A: The standard version supports differential pressure up to 0.5MPa, while the heavy-duty reinforced version can reach 1.0MPa. Operation within the equipment’s recommended differential pressure range is advised, as excessive pressure may damage the filter cartridge.
